Greens will support proper ‘Effect Tests’ to rein in Supermarket Duopoly

“We are willing to talk to whoever is in government about tools to constrain the supermarket duopoly from unfairly bullying producers and small businesses.
“Unfortunately we haven’t had a firm proposal yet from Government on an ‘effects test.’ The sooner they can get us the detail the sooner we can get on with it.
“I am always willing to talk to Bruce Bilson if he wants to discuss passing legislation to help out small businesses.
“The Government’s recent small business tax package in the last budget only put back in terms of tax support what they had taken away in their first budget.
“The Greens and the small business community are waiting to see if the Government have the fortitude to take on the duopoly,” he concluded.
